We will be hosting a financial aid information session in the spring when we will discuss common concerns that students and parents have about the process, with plenty of time for audience questions. *The newly revised Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open. Applicants are encouraged to file the FAFSA to apply for financial aid as early as possible.
Please note that because of significant Department of Education processing delays, we will not have information about FAFSA submissions or financial aid until at least the end of January. Please be sure to file no later than March 1 to be considered for any federal, state or Quinnipiac need-based grant aid.
The FAFSA is also required for student and parent loans that are not need-based. Regardless of your financial need, as determined by the federal formula, you can borrow up to $5,500 as a first-year student, $6,500 as a sophomore and $7,500 as a junior or senior.
You will receive a letter from the Office of Financial Aid notifying you when your financial aid award is accessible online. If you are eligible for a merit-based scholarship, the award will be noted in your acceptance letter.

All students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for all forms of financial aid. The FAFSA can be filed online.
*The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will open in December 2023; the Department of Education has not yet released the exact date. Applicants are encouraged to file the FAFSA to apply for financial aid as early as possible.

Early-decision students, who have a February 1 deposit deadline and are seeking financial aid, must file the FAFSA as soon as possible to confirm their eligibility for need-based federal and/or Quinnipiac grant aid.

You'll receive an email from the Office of Financial Aid when your offer is ready to be viewed online. Click on the “Financial aid award” link to see your award. If you filed the FAFSA and no award appears, please check with the financial aid office to see if we are missing any information by calling 203-582-8750.
All admitted first-year students are given consideration for merit-based scholarships and recipients are notified in their letter of acceptance. Scholarships are based on our review of your rank in class and highest critical reading plus math SAT scores or the highest ACT composite score.
If your high school does not provide a rank in class, we will estimate where your GPA places you within your class based on academic information available through your high school, so please check with your counselor if you’re not sure how your grade point average compares with others in the class.
The Honors Program coordinates unique opportunities to express and support intellectual curiosity and academic leadership. The program selects incoming first-year students to participate in this enriching and engaging community. Interested students fill out a brief application with a personal statement reflective of their interest in the program.
Housing is guaranteed for the first 3 years and on a space-available basis in the senior year. First-year students will be housed in the Ledges, the Commons, Irma, Dana and Mountainview. You’ll fill out a roommate inventory questionnaire as part of your orientation information. Once your deposit is received, you’ll receive your housing and roommate assignments in January for spring entrants, and on August 1 for fall first years.
New first-year students entering Quinnipiac semester are required to live in campus housing for their first 3 years of study. In general, first-year and sophomore students live on the Mount Carmel Campus and upperclass students live on the York Hill Campus, in the Whitney Village apartments or in university-owned houses.
Early-decision students: March 15, 2024 — Matriculation fee/housing deposit due for the fall semester.
First-year students: May 1, 2024 — Matriculation fee/housing deposit due for the fall semester.
**You may submit a matriculation fee/housing deposit fee waiver form if you have been offered a Federal PELL Grant as part of your financial aid package or are a VA benefit-eligible veteran or dependent.
