The financial aid team is here to help you understand your unique financial situation and strategies for making college affordable for you. Every student has the same financial aid counselor throughout their undergraduate years who is there to get to know you and guide you. Learn more below.
You are matched with the same counselor throughout your undergraduate experience, providing you with the opportunity to form a relationship and receive expert guidance every step of the way. While you may contact anyone in financial aid any time, we encourage you to reach out to your dedicated counselor directly.
We assign counselors by last name.
At Quinnipiac, we strive to help make the financial aid process straightforward. Below are some key points and dates to keep in mind.
Join us for financial aid information sessions in the fall and spring when we will discuss common concerns that students and parents have about the process, with plenty of time for audience questions. For guidance about individual circumstances, please emails us at finaid@qu.edu or call 203-582-8750.
Quinnipiac's code for the FAFSA is 001402.
*The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will open on or around December 1. Applicants are encouraged to file the FAFSA to apply for financial aid as early as possible.
Please be sure to file no later than March 15 to be considered for any federal, state or Quinnipiac need-based grant aid.
The FAFSA is also required for student and parent loans that are not need-based. Regardless of your financial need, as determined by the federal formula, you can borrow up to $5,500 as a first-year student, $6,500 as a sophomore and $7,500 as a junior or senior.
You will receive a letter from the Office of Financial Aid notifying you when your financial aid award is accessible online. If you are eligible for a merit-based scholarship, the award will be noted in your acceptance letter.
