This journey is for you, too. Whether you live around the corner or in a remote corner of the globe, you are part of the Bobcat family.
We know the decision to send your child to study at Quinnipiac is a huge commitment from you, and our goal is to be as transparent as possible with the need-to-know information you're looking for.
Check back often for up-to-date news, events and contact information for resources across campus.
We hope that you are enjoying the beginning of your summer. It is a fairly hectic scene on campus with major construction on the South Quad. The Grove is a month away from opening and the two academic buildings are on target for a late May 2025 opening. Irma and Dana are receiving new roofs, and the updated landscape of the hill next to the new baseball field has been lowered and is now has grass. We are excited to have you walk to the College of Arts and Science on the new pathways from either side of The Grove.
While much activity is centered around the physical campus, we are also focused on continuing to develop new ways to engage and co-create with our students. Our Listening Labs project will be in full swing in the fall with three student leaders chairing the initiative. This project will offer the opportunity for students to learn the importance of listening through perspective taking. We also have four new student leaders who will manage Quinnipiac’s On the Rocks Pub and Grill at York Hill for the upcoming academic year.
One important date I would like to share is Bobcat Weekend, which will be held October 25 to 27, 2024. This is one of the university’s biggest events for alumni, parents, and families. Be sure to mark your calendar. More details will be shared by the end of August.
As we approach the presidential election, we ask your students to register and complete the absentee ballot process. If you do not plan on returning home for election day, registering in Connecticut can be an option as well. Please visit the All In voting website for more information. Additional resources are also available on our website.
Finally, we hope that you have plenty of family time that includes reflecting on your students’ successes this past year; and looking forward, helping them prepare for the upcoming year on their academic journey at Quinnipiac.
As always, should you have any concerns, ideas or suggestions, please email QUParents@qu.edu.
Exciting games, meaningful activities and impactful student interactions helped create a community of support for children with limb loss or limb differences during Camp No Limits at Quinnipiac.
This summer, 3+1 master’s in public relations student Riley Propersi ’25, MS ’26, learns to master the art of communication, blending her academic experience at Quinnipiac with a summer internship at Noble House Media Group.
Film, television and media arts graduate Reinett Chefu ’24, MS '25, devoted her time at Quinnipiac to advocating for self-expression, fostering a welcoming environment for international students and serving as a leader in the Bobcat community.
Quinnipiac students are now able to enroll in the class of their "wildest dreams," earning three academic credits studying Taylor Swift's artistic legacy.

National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) is a club on campus and an amazing resource for parents. If you suspect that your child may be struggling mentally or emotionally, remember the five Ts: Tell, Test, Teach, Talk, Take Action.
Tell your child they can come to you with any problem
Test their academic health by checking their end of semester grades
Teach them how to recognize depression and anxiety
Talk with them more often or visit if they are in distress
Take action if your student is experiencing high-risk mental health concerns

We hope that you are having a great summer so far and we are looking forward to welcoming your Bobcat to campus in August. Our staff are working hard on roommate matches and room assignments currently and we are eagerly anticipating announcing them officially in a few weeks. The Housing Portal is now closed while we complete this work, but it will re-open on Thursday, August 1. Your student can log in at their convenience beginning that day to view their hall assignment, room assignment and the name and contact information for their roommate(s). Global Engagement
This summer, we are supporting 100+ students traveling to 15 different countries. We are excited as they embark on these experiences with QU faculty and staff and taking learning beyond the classroom. If you're interested in participating in a global experience, whether for a semester or a short-term program, please review our website at education.abroad@qu.edu. We look forward to working with you and to helping you identify what type of program might best suit your needs.

Summer and Fall 2024 tuition and fees due dates announced
For full details, including payment plan installment dates, please visit the Payment Options page of our website.
Payment Plans
Payment plans are only offered in the fall and the spring. When students or proxies sign up for a payment plan by the payment due date, installments are spread over five months.
We offer two types of payment plans:
Auto Adjust – this plan covers the student’s full balance due and will automatically adjust if the amount owed changes. Therefore, if financial aid is applied the balance due on the payment plan will automatically adjust. This adjustment can lead to an increase or decrease of the monthly payment plan. The remaining balance due will be split among the remaining payments.
Fixed Balance – this plan allows the student to determine the amount to pay via the payment plan. To make any adjustments to the amount after the first payment is due, the student needs to contact the One Stop office.
Refunds
At the conclusion of the add/drop registration period, students may owe a balance or be due a refund. It can take up to two weeks after add/drop for refunds to be processed. The fastest way to get a refund is to sign up for direct deposit.
Financial Consent & Tuition Insurance
In Self-Service students and proxies will be asked to consent to the statement of financial responsibility which includes QU’s withdrawal and refund policy. When students or proxies view the invoice through Self-Service and continue to Make a Payment the consent form will be presented.
Consider Tuition Insurance
Students will also be offered the opportunity to purchase tuition insurance.
Proxies
Students may authorize a proxy (parent, guardian, spouse or other individual) to have access to Self-Service to make payments on behalf of the student or to view grades. In addition, authorizing a proxy also allows the appropriate Quinnipiac faculty and staff to discuss relevant matters with the proxy. Learn more about Proxy Access.
Please reference the following for assistance as needed:
Self-Service Student Finance Guide provides complete instructions on using Self-Service to set up a proxy, view and pay invoices and set up a payment plan.
The MyHousing application, which manages both housing and meal plans, will open on August 1. The MyParking application, which manages parking permits, will open in early August.
Please review the FAQs below for more information.
Q. I am expecting an adjustment to my bill for meal plan, housing, health insurance or financial aid but it is not there and payment is due on 7/12. What should I do?
A. We understand that it may take time for adjustments to meal plans, housing, health insurance and financial aid. In the meantime, as you prepare to pay your bill, please pay for the items that you intend to select. (for example, if you are anticipating aid, please deduct it from your balance and pay that part). Then, we ask all students to review their invoice again in a couple of weeks and again after add/drop to pay any remaining balance. After add/drop, we will also review balances and will refund any payments made in excess. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Q. Can I change or update my meal plan?
A. Please know that the My Housing application which manages both housing and meal plans is closed to students until August 1. At that time, the portal will open and students can change their meal plans. In the meantime, as you prepare to pay your bill, please pay for the meal plan that you intend to select. Then, we ask all student to review their invoice again in a couple of weeks and again after add/drop to pay any remaining balance. After add/drop, we will also review balances and will refund any payments made in excess. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Q. I will be a commuter student in the fall; how do I sign up for a parking permit?
A. The parking portal isn’t open yet. It will open on August 1 and we will email students at that time. Residential first-year students may not have a car on campus.
Outstanding balances result in financial holds and can lead to a late fee charge. A financial hold prevents students from registering for classes, adding or dropping a class, receiving final grades or transcripts and more.
Please reference the following for assistance as needed:
The Self-Service Finance Guide provides complete instructions on using Self-Service to set up a proxy, view and pay invoices and set up a payment plan.
Costs and budgets provide detailed information on tuition and fees.
All student parking permits expire on August 31. Students should look for an email over the summer with links to updated rules and regulations and instructions for how to apply for permits for the 2024-25 academic year.
Shuttles
We are updating the 2024-2025 shuttle schedule and will be available by Friday, August 9.
