Facilitator: Katherine McLeod, Ph.D. Workshop Description: As medical students pursue research and scholarly activities, a positive mentor-mentee relationship is a vital component of their professional and personal growth. While mentorship primarily focuses on the advancement of the mentee, successful mentoring is transformative for both the mentor and mentee. This interactive session outlines evidence-based principles in mentoring and is designed to enhance faculty effectiveness in mentoring medical students engaged in capstone research projects. Faculty will participate in thoughtful self-reflection about their mentoring style and discuss best practices in mentoring medical students in research and scholarly activities.
