Katarzyna (Kasia) Lessard is Chair of Undergraduate Nursing Programs at the Quinnipiac University School of Nursing. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. Kasia specializes in maternal-child health and advanced diabetes management.
Prior to joining Quinnipiac in 2017, Kasia was a nurse practitioner in the VA system in the settings of primary care, endocrine, and research. She also practiced law for several years before pursuing a career in nursing. During her legal career, Kasia specialized in intellectual property and technology law.
Kasia teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate programs at Quinnipiac. Her interests include general health policy, simulation in nursing education, and interprofessional collaboration in healthcare.
