
Kathy A. Kuhar has served the law school as associate dean of students since 2013. In this role, she oversees student organizations and budget management, coordination of new student orientation, counselling and advising students on non-academic issues related to their law school experience and coordinating accommodations for students with disabilities.
Prior to her appointment as associate dean, Kuhar served as assistant dean of student and career services (2010-2013), associate director, then director of law admissions (2004-2010). Prior to leaving the University in 2002 for a short experience as an associate in a local law firm, she previously served as associate director of financial aid for Quinnipiac University (1996-2002). She has worked nearly thirty years at Quinnipiac, dedicating her efforts to be an advocate for students, and making herself accessible to students to address their needs and concerns.
Kuhar received her bachelor of science degree in business administration, cum laude, from Eastern Connecticut State University. She received her juris doctor, cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut.
Kuhar served a five-year term (2016-2021) as a Trustee of Lauralton Hall in Milford, where she is an alumna.
Outside of Quinnipiac Law, Kuhar enjoys travel, golf and being Grammy to her four grandchildren.
