Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging

Program Director of Radiologic Sciences

Dr. Stewart has been a dedicated educator and Radiologic Technologist since 2009, and holds certifications in general Radiography, Computed Tomography and Imaging Informatics. She is the Director of the Radiologic Sciences Program and Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at Quinnipiac University.

Dr. Stewart is co-author of the 8th Edition of “Introduction to Radiologic & Imaging Sciences & Patient Care”, as well as the upcoming 7th Edition of “Principles of Radiographic Imaging: An Art and Science”. Both of these textbooks are used by Radiologic and Imaging Science programs nationally and internationally. Dr. Stewart is also co-author of the upcoming 1st Edition of "Imaging Informatics: An Introduction" and the sole author of an Informatics in Medical Imaging chapter in the 6th Edition of the textbook “Principles of Radiographic Imaging: An Art and Science". She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented internationally, nationally and regionally on a variety of medical imaging topics with a strong focus on Imaging Informatics and patient care.

She is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) serving on the Editorial Review Board and as an Education Chapter Delegate; the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists (CSRT); and is a member of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS) currently serving as the President. Dr. Stewart also serves as a JRCERT Site Visitor and as a member of the Education Committee for the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).
