Clinical Assistant Professor Nursing
Dr. Leonile Scott has been a Registered Nurse for over 22 years. She began her career working in the emergency room and ICU in the U. S. Virgin Islands, where she attained her bachelor's degree in nursing. Later, she moved to the United States, serving in several nursing positions, including med/surg/tele, ortho, LTC, rehab, correctional nursing, school nursing, informatics nursing, and nursing administration. She pursued her graduate studies at Quinnipiac University, graduating with her master's in forensic nursing from Quinnipiac University in 2006, and most recently, in 2021, she attained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (Nursing Leadership) while working in nursing administration. She is a certified informatics nurse and has pursued this career for 16 years.
Leonile's dedication to nursing education and mentorship is evident in her over ten years of experience as a clinical instructor. She has guided and shaped the careers of numerous nursing students, including LPN, ASN, and BSN RN students. Her commitment to fostering the next generation of nurses is further exemplified by her current role as a clinical instructor at Quinnipiac, a position she has held for two years.
