Associate Teaching Professor of Chemistry
Following Ph.D., worked in the Pharmaceuticals industry in Research and Development in the UK for 7 years. Moved to Toronto, Canada, worked in environmental analytical chemistry at a Canadian company that became part of Perkin Elmer, (a Fortune 500 company). Employed at Perkin Elmer (US) as Global Product Manager. Promoted to worldwide technical marketing of analytical instrumentation for all segments of the chemical industry. Awarded three Patents and Service awards for 15 and 20 years service.
Entered teaching through the Alternate Route to Certification Connecticut Higher Education program to teach 7-12 high school chemistry.
Entered academia in 2010, taught general chemistry as adjunct professor of chemistry at Western Connecticut State University. Joined Quinnipiac University as fulltime faculty (2011) as Assistant Teaching Professor of Chemistry. Promoted to Associate Teaching Professor (2017). Taught all 100-level General Chemistry courses including 200-level analytical chemistry including Earth Science (SCI102). Currently teach 100-level General Chemistry as well as Mentor Senior Research projects for CHE 475/476 and 490/491 courses.
Introduced online CHE202 Chemistry of Macro- and Micro-Nutrients as well as SCI 161 Nutrition courses for nonscience majors (on-ground and online).
CAS committee service includes Curriculum and Pedagogy, Nominations, and currently, Institutional Research (IRC).
