Michele Tarantino has been an Occupational Therapist for 29 years. She is the academic fieldwork coordinator and assistant clinical professor in the occupational therapy department. Professor Tarantino is a low vision specialist and has completed the low vision certification program at Salus University and is certified through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabiliation and Education Professionals.

Dr. Tarantino comes to Quinnipiac University from Home Health Care and has expertise in working with the geriatric populations in their homes. She is active in her community and church, and is on multiple committees including a Board Member for the Library for the Blind Advisory Committee, Connecticut OT Association Awards Committee, Opening and Affirming Committee at Church to ensure inclusion and equality, and has been on the BAWA Health Initiative Board assisting to build and run a health clinic and oversee health programming in Cameroon. Professor Tarantino has been a guest lecturer and speaker in community and academic settings.

Professor Tarantino is an academic fieldwork coordinator who oversees Level II placements in NY, NJ and Pennsylvania as well as level I placements for adult process courses. She teaches adult content lecture and labs in physical disability and oversees Capstone projects in both the MOT and OTD programs.
