Full time OT Faculty at Quinnipiac University in 2011 to present holding a dual position of Assistant Clinical Professor and Associate Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. Throughout 35 years in Occupational Therapy, focus has been with the Adult and Older Adult populations, Low Vision, and Fieldwork Coordination and Education.
Teaching Responsibilities at Quinnipiac currently include Adult/Older Adult lab and Special Topic: Home Modification and Aging in Place. Special interests also include Co direction and intervention in the Interprofessional Education Lions Low Vision Center. Multiple presentations at the State and National Level OT Conferences.
Administrative responsibilities are in the Fieldwork Department including Coordination of all Level I Fieldwork and all Level II Fieldwork placements in CT, MA and RI.
Career path includes full time employment at Central Connecticut Easter Seals in Meriden CT., full and part time employment at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT., and Regional VNA of North Haven, CT. Per diem OT staff at Elim Park Health Care Center in Cheshire, CT. In 2006, established Everhome Consulting LLC, a private practice in Home Modifications and Aging in Place after acquiring a CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) from the National Association of Home Builders.
Received the Irene Allard Award for Excellence in Fieldwork Education from the New England Occupational Therapy Education Council, the Fieldwork Educator of the Year Award from the Connecticut Occupational Therapy Association and earned the AOTA Fieldwork Educator Certification.
