Quinnipiac University
Rajintha Bandaranayake, Ph. D., is an Associate Teaching Professor of Biochemistry in the Chemistry and Physical Sciences Department. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Massachusetts, where he studied drug resistance in HIV-1 protease. Dr. Bandaranayake completed his postdoctoral training at the Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine at NYU, where his research focused on the structure and function of Jak-2 kinase. He has been a faculty member of the Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences at QU since 2014.

Dr. Bandaranayake currently coordinates and teaches the Biochemistry I Lab course (CHE315L). Other teaching areas include Biochemistry I lecture (CHE315) and the Chemistry Integrated Capstone course (CHE420).
