Richard Stahl was appointed Professor in the Department of Medical Sciences and Senior Associate Dean of Quinnipiac's Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine in January, 2015. His responsibilities include establishment and enhancement of relationships in support of QU's Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences. He is also a Venture Partner with Elm Street Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm whose lead investor is Yale University. Dr. Stahl previously held a 20 year progression of executive positions at Yale New Haven Health, including two roles as vice president with P&L responsibility. He has served on the faculties of the Yale Schools of Medicine (Surgery) and Public Health (Policy and Management) and as a mentor in the Yale School of Management's Entrepreneurial Institute.
He received his BA degree (Physics) at Emory, MD at Vanderbilt, and MBA at University of New Haven and completed medical residencies both at Yale (General Surgery) and at Emory (Plastic Surgery) universities. He is board certified in both medical specialties and is a Fellow in both the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
