Step into adventure at Sleeping Giant

Located just beside the Mount Carmel Campus, Sleeping Giant State Park offers a range of trails for hikers of all skill levels to explore. Students can sign up for group hikes through the RecWell website, where you’ll find options like the popular sunrise hike and more!

Experience the energy of a rugby game

Head on over to the rugby field to cheer on the women's rugby team! Students gather on the sidelines to cheer on the team as they tackle and sprint toward victory. The field is located in between the tennis courts and baseball field. The team brought home the university's first national championships from 2015-17.

Basketball courts

Get active and hoop on over to the outdoor basketball courts located next to Recwell and the softball field. You can also take advantage of the indoor courts, which are also available for daily use.

Don't strike out by missing the chance to catch at least one baseball or softball game this year. The baseball field has brand new turf that was installed before the start of the spring season.

Get the best of both worlds studying or unwinding in the big comfy leather chairs in the library. For added convenience, students can also reserve private study rooms through Arnold Bernahrd Library's website for a more focused environment.

Sunrise or sunset, the Adirondack chairs up on York Hill are waiting for you. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of Sleeping Giant State Park, the Mount Carmel Campus and surrounding towns located atop one of the highest points in the region.

For students by students, the fully student-run bar and grill, “On The Rocks” located on York Hill offers a diverse menu of delicious foods and a bar with big screens for watching sports. It's the perfect place to cheer on one of our many DI sports teams from the comfort of a cozy setting.
