Our Mount Carmel Campus’ quiet neighbor has a lot to offer.
With miles of trails and countless Instagrammable moments, Sleeping Giant is one of the most popular state parks in Connecticut for good reason. From the breathtaking look-outs of our two Hamden campuses to the various trails that guide hikers past rivers, waterfalls and the legendary castle at the peak, there’s something for everyone.
The most difficult decision may be what to pick.
With dozens of orchards just a short car ride from our campuses, there are numerous varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables to pick — with apples and pumpkins being the seasonal favorites. But apple-picking is just the beginning, with corn mazes, farm animals, markets and live music, it’s a great time to be outside.
As one movie sheriff once quipped, “It’s Halloween, everyone is entitled to one good scare.” We couldn’t agree more.
With numerous “haunted” trails a short distance from our campuses, there are countless opportunities to perfect your scream. No indoor voices required here.
Is there anything truly more relaxing than a scenic bike ride through Central Connecticut?
There are few more enjoyable — or easy rides — than the Farmington Canal Heritage Greenway, which covers more than 80 miles from across the street from our York Hill Campus to Northampton, Massachusetts.
The newest addition to our Mount Carmel Campus’ Quad will surely warm your heart — and body — on a chilly autumnal evening.
The firepits and surrounding lounge chairs placed just outside the Carl Hansen Student Center are the perfect spots to connect with old friends while getting to know new ones.
Mark your planner/tell Alexa/alert Google/do whatever it is you need to do to get yourself to our annual celebration of everything autumn — Fall Fest.
The annual event includes live music and food trucks.
Quinnipiac students don’t have to look far to find reasons to cheer this fall.
