Town of Hamden Fall Festival

Hamden’s 24th Annual Fall Festival offers a wide range of activities including food, live music, food trucks, a pumpkin patch, beekeeping demonstrations, craft vendors and more! The event will take place on Saturday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 524 Brooksvale Ave., Hamden, Connecticut.

Lyman Orchards

Experience the best of fall at Lyman Orchards' Autumn Fest, where you can pick your own apples, enter the annual pie run (registration required), enjoy live music, hayrides, yard games, and try your hand at pumpkin golf and bowling. This festive event is happening on Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Middlefield, Connecticut. Apple-picking is offered daily.

Castle Hill Farm

Castle Hill Farm’s Fall Festival offers a wide variety of fun fall-tastic activities for visitors to indulge in like a corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, pick your own pumpkins, corn stalks, apple cider donuts and more. The farm is located in Newtown, Connecticut and opening weekend is set for September 28 and 29, continuing on weekends 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the season. 

Scenic fall hikes

As the leaves turn from beautiful green to eye catching orange and red, immersing yourself in nature is just one of the many ways to enjoy the fall season. Take a hike at Sleeping Giant State :ark right across the street from the Mount Carmel Campus, explore the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail just down the hill from our York Hill Campus, or follow the Lake Wintergreen trail for an autumn adventure at the nearby West Rock Ridge State Park in Hamden.
