Bobcats Earn At-Large Bid, Headed to Allentown Regional for NCAA Tournament

HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac men's ice hockey has earned an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, as the Bobcats will head to the Allentown Regional in Pennsylvania for the first and second round.

Maine (#1 seed), UConn (#2 seed), Quinnipiac (#3 seed) and Penn State (#4 seed) are all set to compete at the PPL Center in Allentown with a trip to the Frozen Four on the line. The Bobcats will square off with UConn in the opening rounnd of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 28 at 5:00 PM.

The Bobcats head into NCAA Tournament play with a 24-11-2 overall record. QU went 16-5-1 in ECAC Hockey play during 2024-25, earning the program's fifth consecutive Cleary Cup / regular season title. 

The Bobcats are the first team in league history to win five consecutive trophies and have won nine regular season championships in 12 years since their first in the 2012-13 campaign. They are the first NCAA Division I men's hockey team to win five consecutive regular season championships in the same league and the second to do it overall, with Minnesota State winning six consecutive trophies across the WCHA and CCHA.
