Quinnipiac’s Panhellenic Council continues to empower women in developing countries by building a lasting partnership with Circle of Sisterhood and donated an additional $10,000 to the program.

With a foregoing commitment to Circle of Sisterhood, Quinnipiac’s Panhellenic Council previously donated more than $40,000 to build a school in Malawi. The Panhellenic Council chose to support The Moon Catcher Program (MCP) which primarily focuses on the surrounding location where the school was built. The program focuses on education and building a community around younger women.

Avery Moses, director of fraternity and sorority life, exclaimed how important it is for all 13 sororities to work with The Moon Catcher Program.

“Panhellenic also loved the idea of being able to support the development of confidence in girls, provide access to menstrual products, and ensure girls can stay in school by having the necessary resources,” said Moses.

Throughout the year, all the sororities at the university hosted their own fundraising events.
