Quinnipiac student helping summer program participants

Attending Quinnipiac’s Healthcare Career Exploration Academy summer program this year convinced Eileen Sheridan to become an occupational therapist at Quinnipiac.

The summer program is a two-week program for high school students interested in a career in healthcare. Participants have the chance to earn certifications, gain up to two college credits transferable to Quinnipiac and engage in hands on activities within specific health professions.

“My experience at the two-week health exploration summer program at Quinnipiac was truly an unforgettable two weeks. I was a little apprehensive about attending the program and being away for two weeks,” she said. “However I am so grateful that I attended. I gained so many great experiences, memories and so much knowledge about the health sciences field.”

Sheridan said she plans to apply for the 4+1.5 BS in Health Science Studies/Master of Occupational Therapy early action to Quinnipiac this year.
