Key to that excellence is our continued work to build a more inclusive and socially just community – both within Quinnipiac and in broader society.
We are making meaningful progress and having impact in important areas of our community. However, as we’ve noted before, we are in the midst of this journey, and it is far from over. Inclusive excellence is not a standalone pillar of our strategic plan, but rather, a community-wide effort that must be embedded in everything we do, and in each of our personal actions.

Quinnipiac’s second annual Equity and Inclusion Report provides a snapshot of our advances, the gaps and opportunities for progress still ahead, and importantly, personal profiles of the people who are bringing this critical work to life.
In the coming weeks, you will be invited to join us in open community sessions to review the results of the Inclusive Excellence Campus Climate Survey.
Through this survey, we were interested in assessing the climate of our community and seeing if we were aligned with the pillars of our strategic plan. We understand that no one instrument can illuminate every concern or all that is going well. Our aim was to identify general areas of success and current challenges that will serve as a guide for the work needed to realize our university-wide DEI goals.
Let us continue this vital and sometimes difficult journey to advance inclusivity, and let us lift our vision of success and aspirations for a just society, right here, in our own community. Thank you for your deep commitment and powerful actions to make progress on these essential goals.
