Hello, incoming Bobcats, congratulations on choosing Quinnipiac!

We are so excited to welcome you into our classrooms, clubs and teams.

My name is Kate Reilly, and I am a defensive player on our women’s ice hockey team. I am originally from British Columbia, Canada, but I have been enjoying Connecticut for the past four years. I completed my undergraduate degree in biology and am currently working on my master’s degree in molecular and cellular biology.

During my four years at Quinnipiac, I have been surrounded by support. I may be biased, but the professors in the biology department are the best. They are always looking out for their students and going the extra mile as advisors. When I go to office hours, I am greeted by a friendly face, ready to help me engage with the content. And, when I’ve needed a little extra help on my work, the peer fellows and tutors at the Learning Commons have been there to help me fully understand my course material.

Of course, my favorite part about Quinnipiac is the hockey scene. Playing out of the M&T Bank Arena is a joy, and I am so excited for the upcoming season. These past two years playing at the national tournament have been exhilarating, and my team is hungry for more. When you get to Quinnipiac, I encourage you to showcase your best Bobcat apparel and come out to a women’s ice hockey game. I hope to see you there!

If you see me around campus at any of our other competitions, plays or events, feel free to come say hello and I will be happy to chat or help you with anything you may need.

While I have had the opportunity to pursue my passions, I hope that Quinnipiac offers you a place to find and explore your own. Whether you are majoring in English or in game design and development, or you want to be in the Student Government Association or be part of our theatre productions, I hope you are excited about what is ahead for you, what an exciting adventure!
