Regional Manager, Hospital Services at Unitex
Stamatios Bizanis ’91 has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Quinnipiac University. He has over thirty years of experience in the textile service industry; twenty-seven of which has been with Unitex, one of the leading innovators in the industry. Bizanis has held various positions within Unitex concentrating on healthcare. He is currently leading the Hospital Onsite Support Division, responsible for some of the most nationally recognized hospital systems. His focus is on enhancing their image and providing clean, safe and sustainable linen services in an eco-friendly environment.
Bizanis is the first of three members of his family to have graduated from Quinnipiac. He is an active member of the Quinnipiac community and has served on many university committees as well as organizing alumni events. He is an active supporter of all Quinnipiac Athletics and is a staple at hockey and basketball games.
Bizanis is currently serving his second term on the College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Textile Rental Services Association.
Director, Analytical Development at Moderna
Jim Cormier has a robust academic background and over 14 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, followed by a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
Cormier completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital Boston, focusing on research in Type 1 and 2 diabetes. He has since held roles at prominent biotech and pharmaceutical companies including Cell Signaling Technology, Pfizer, Takeda and now Moderna, where he has been involved in the development of biologics and vaccines.
Currently residing in Massachusetts with his family, Cormier enjoys skiing, camping and exploring national parks with his wife and son.
Director of Analytics & Strategy at Pittsburgh Pirates
Working in Pittsburgh since 2018, Alex Everett specializes in statistical modeling, data analysis, price optimization and internal strategic development. Everett and his team collaborate with the entirety of business operations to support their strategies with statistical analysis and data driven insights. A graduate with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Quinnipiac University and a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan, Everett is passionate about helping students discover their passion and find careers in the mathematics field.

Ryan Hagerman is a political science major with history and sociology minors. He represents the QU Political Science community in multiple ways, serving on CAS Council and as President of the Quinnipiac Political Science Association. Using his years of service and leadership experience at the school, municipal and regional levels, Hagerman plans to build a career fighting for nationwide public education reform as a lobbyist and nonprofit leader.

Research Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim
Laeticia Iboki is a Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim, where she works in Research and Development. She holds a Master of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology from Quinnipiac University. After graduating from Quinnipiac in 2019, Iboki held several scientific positions in companies such as Unilever, BioMedica Diagnostic and Pfizer, where she had the opportunity to support the development of the COVID-19 vaccine and other prominent vaccines such as PREVNAR-20. Iboki has a passion for research and drug discovery. She is also active in mentoring college students in career development.
Former Teacher, Writer, Communications Professional; Arts Advocate
Elizabeth A. Natale ’79 is a retired English teacher, public relations specialist and newspaper reporter. While a student at Quinnipiac, she was editor of The Chronicle student newspaper and hosted both jazz and classical shows on the University’s radio station, WQAQ-FM. Graduating with a double major in English and mass communications, she was a member of the Alpha Mu Gamma national collegiate foreign language honor society and was recipient of a number of awards, including the President’s Scholarship Prize for the highest scholastic standing in the graduating class, the Wallace Silversmiths Award and the Albert Jente Memorial Prize.
Natale started her career as a reporter for the Meriden (CT) Record-Journal, held various positions in public relations and publications at Quinnipiac University, Wesleyan University and Trinity College and taught English at Sedgwick Middle School in West Hartford, CT for 17 years. As an alumna, she served on the Alumni Board of Governors and was an officer of the Alumni Association's Greater Hartford Chapter.
Her husband of 37 years is Robert M. Carangelo ‘79, and together they have started several funds at the University, including a scholarship in memory of Liz’s mother, Mary S. Natale, a 1934 graduate of Larson College; the Frank J. Natale Concert Series, now entering its fourth season, in memory of Liz’s father; and the Martin and Shirley Carangelo Endowed Fund for Global Student Humanitarian & Educational Travel in memory of Bob’s parents. They are in the process of establishing another fund to provide support within the College of Arts and Sciences.
Retired Insurance Industry Executive
Robert A. Passero earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Quinnipiac University, graduating with the Class of 1970. Passero's class was the first to receive the 4-year biology degree issued by the University. Upon graduation, he spent two years teaching at a private elementary school before pursuing an MBA at Western New England College. In 1973, Passero changed careers, joining Aetna as an insurance agent for three years. He continued his career with Phoenix Mutual Life in 1976 as an Office Manager in the Rochester, NY office and attended RIT to continue his MBA.
Passero earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1981 and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1984 from the American College of Financial Services, demonstrating his commitment to advancing his expertise in financial services. Phoenix promoted him to their largest office in New York City, where he remained until 1983 before transferring to the Phoenix home office in the actuarial department for product research and development.
In 1986, Passero accepted a position with Connecticut General as a product manager, where he helped develop products, illustration systems and inforce illustrations. In 1991, he joined Travelers as the competition director for Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care. When Travelers was acquired by MetLife in 2005, Bob became a trainer for the sales desk, leveraging his extensive knowledge of the acquired companies. He later transitioned to a role in product pricing and, ultimately, worked closely with attorneys on financial planning and product illustrations.
Passero retired in December 2012 to become a full-time babysitter for his first grandchild. He and his wife currently reside in Glastonbury, CT.
Quinnipiac Parent; Associate Professor, Associate Director, Neurology Residency, Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs at Thomas Jefferson Health/University
Dr. Christopher T. Skidmore has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Quinnipiac University and a Doctorate in Medicine from Saint Louis University. He completed his Neurology residency and Epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. He has been a member of the Jefferson Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in the Department of Neurology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University since 2005. He is currently an Associate Professor of Neurology and serves as the Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs. He served as the Neurology Residency Program Director for over ten years and has remained on as the Associate Program Director. He is also a member of the board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania (EFEPA).
