Our BA in Sports Communications provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the exciting field of sports communications. Throughout the program, you will develop skills in various forms of content creation for various contexts, such as social media, news reporting, multimedia production, advertising and public relations.

With courses focused on putting theory into practice, you’ll be able to identify current trends in sports communications and implement brand management techniques for sports entities, including players, teams, companies and media outlets. You’ll have the freedom to build industry-specific skills and explore emerging technologies throughout the program, allowing you to understand how the broader sports communications industry can positively impact sports-related communities such as fans, athletes, teams, local communities and host cities.

The curriculum places a particular emphasis on experiential learning, with the inclusion of practicum opportunities and a required internship experience.
