Admission into the dual-degree program is competitive. Students must present satisfactory performance in their graduate coursework completed during their senior year to be officially admitted into the graduate program upon completion of their BA or BS degree. Only students who have earned at least 75 credits with an overall GPA of 3.0 are considered. Meeting the minimum criteria for consideration does not guarantee admission.
Students in the dual-degree program may complete up to nine credits of graduate courses during their fourth year, which also fulfill undergraduate open electives. Students must work with their undergraduate adviser and the Department of Social Work to ensure that the courses fit into both degree programs. Students must present satisfactory performance in their graduate coursework completed during their senior year to be officially admitted into the graduate program upon completion of their BA/BS degree.

Your GPA alone doesn’t tell the full story of your academic strengths and talents. That’s why we look at many factors when considering each application for admission, especially as those factors relate to your specific program. We look at subject-specific courses you’ve taken and AP credits you’ve earned, as well as awards and other achievements.
